The Village Bookshop is in Middleton-in-Teesdale in County Durham and serves a large rural area in Upper Teesdale. We sell New, Discount and Secondhand Books as well as gifts, maps, classical CD's, postcards and a good range of cards. We have a good selection of books of the local area.  We also have a selection of local tourist information leaflets.

We offer a range of new books, mostly at discount prices, and can order new and second hand books for prompt delivery. We also keep a wide, ever-changing stock of secondhand books for collectors in many subjects, and for those looking for holiday reading. Out of print or rare books can be searched for on your behalf, so if there are any books you are searching for please don't hesitate to contact us.

The shop is run entirely by volunteers.
